Oklahoma Employment Security Commission to hold in-person claim processing event in OKC

Oklahomans wait over night, in long lines for unemployment benefits

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission is announcing an Oklahoma City event to help Oklahomans address and fix unemployment benefits problems.

In order to better serve Oklahomans, OESC will be hosting multiple days of in-person, socially-distanced claim processing events in the coming weeks, the agency said in a press release.

They say they recognize that many of the claimants who have outstanding needs require in-person meetings with OESC staff to address more complex problems, and they want to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.

The first of these events will take place in Oklahoma City at the Reed Conference Center on July 1-2 and July 8-9, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Officials say they are also exploring options for additional claim processing events in OKC and Tulsa in the coming weeks.

Additional details about the first OKC events will be made available early next week.
