OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Oklahoma City Thunder has lifted its COVID-19 vaccine and testing requirement for fans.
The NBA team shared its protocol earlier this year, saying that fans must either show a vaccination card or negative test results to attend home games.
This decision comes after Oklahoma reported a major drop in both COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
The requirements will be lifted beginning with the Dec. 1 game against the Houston Rockets. The current protocols will stay in place for this weekend’s games on Nov. 24 and 26.
However, vaccine and testing requirements will stay in place for those with courtside seats. This is an NBA requirement, not a decision made by the Thunder.
