Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets join NBA boycott in response to Jacob Blake shooting

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — The Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets are boycotting their Game 5 matchup Wednesday in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania first reported the news on Twitter about two hours before the game was supposed to tipoff.

The NBA released a statement after news of the boycott broke saying that all of Wednesday’s playoff games would be postponed:
