TULSA, Okla. — A new grocery store is coming to north Tulsa in a part of town desperate for affordable fresh produce.
Tulsa Economic Development Corporation broke ground on an Oasis Fresh Market location near Pine and Peoria in a part of town known as a “food desert” where affordable, fresh food is hard to come by.
FOX23 obtained multiple renderings of what the new store is expected to look like:
The $3.9 million building is expected to contain meat, produce, and dairy departments; a demonstration kitchen; a multipurpose room; and a walk-in beer and wine cooler.
The demonstration kitchen will help teach customers how to cook affordable, healthy meals.
Construction is expected to be completed in Spring 2021.
