TULSA, Okla. - The George Kaiser Family Foundation is planning major renovations to the Fox and Universal Ford buildings located in Tulsa’s Brady Arts District.
Developers hope the old hotel and its neighbor will soon be home to nightlife and artists and teachers who want to make a home downtown.
Residents and visitors have noticed fences going up and boards put into place near North Main and M.B. Brady streets this week.
The Fox Hotel building will be transformed into new apartment and office space. The Universal Ford Building will undergo a $16 million renovation into a brewpub, artist workspace and apartments designed to accommodate Teach for America residents and local artists.
Many in the area told FOX23 they are excited about the additions to the Brady District.
