MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Muskogee Mayor Marlon Coleman says the city is under a city-wide recommendation to wear masks, but is still waiting on updated COVID-19 numbers from the OK health department to potentially make a stricter adjustment.

He says he should have the updated COVID-19 numbers by Wednesday.

Coleman says he’s in favor of a mask mandate but realizes it is unenforceable. He says it would be too much of a burden on law enforcement, code enforcement and volunteers.

He recommends everyone in Muskogee wear a mask to help stop the spread.
