Medical examiner determines two Tulsa toddlers accidentally drowned

TULSA, Okla. — Officials released the cause of death of Miracle and Tony Crook, two young children found dead in May.

Friday, the medical examiner released autopsies that confirm the two children died by accidental drowning.

The two young children went missing from a Tulsa apartment complex on May 22. Search parties worked for days to find the children.

Days into the search, Tulsa police discovered surveillance footage of the children entering an embankment near the complex and never returning.

Miracle, 3, was found in the Verdigris River and Tony, 2, was found in Bird Creek just days after the disappearance.

Police booked the mother, Donisha Willis, into the Tulsa County jail for child endangerment -- however, Willis does not have legal guardianship over the children.

Police said when they tried talking to Willis, she refused to talk and said “they [kids] don’t even matter,” according to a police report.
