• Man wanted after escaping McAlester correctional facility

    MCALESTER, Okla. - Quick facts:

    • Ronald Thomas Jr. escaped from Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester on Monday.
    • Thomas was last seen in a black Chevy truck in a Sapulpa neighborhood Tuesday evening.
    • Thomas was caught after a chase in Pratville 

    Police are looking for Ronald Thomas Jr. after he escaped from Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester.

    The man was seen Tuesday night driving a black Chevy pickup truck in a Sapulpa neighborhood.

    Poice say he was with a white woman passenger.

    Thomas is a 6'1", 275-pound white male with brown eyes, a scar on his right forearm, and tattoos, including a cross and sun on his left shoulder, a bird on his right shoulder and multiple tattoos on his left forearm.

    Police say he is armed and dangerous.

    He was arrested in 2011 for grand larceny.

    Thomas was charged on Tuesday with escape from the department of corrections.

    Police chased Thomas on a motocrycle through Pratville. He crashed and is recovering from his injuries.
