Three arrested in connection to man shot and killed in east Tulsa street

Family and neighbors speak out after man is killed in east Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Quick Facts:

  • Police found a man with bullet wounds lying in the street in east Tulsa late Wednesday night.
  • Tulsa police say 40-year-old Darrell Hope had two wounds in his chest and paramedics took him to the hospital where he died.
  • Officers say Hope was walking home from buying cigarettes near 15th and Garnett when he got into an altercation that led to the shooting.
  • Hilary Talbert (23), Trenton Talbert (15), and Jesse Webb (14) are all in custody facing charges of first-degree murder.
  • Investigators say a witness provided information that led to the arrests. Police found found a car at the Talberts’ home and served a search warrant there. They also served a warrant at Webb’s home and allegedly found the weapon used.
