The man tried to step in between the two women and get to the gun.

Police say Harlin pulled the gun back and accidentally fired.

The couple wrestled over the gun still before police say it went off again and the man fell -- believing he’d cut open his head from the fall.

Police say he walked to the ambulance without help and it wasn’t until an x-ray at the hospital that doctors found he’d been shot in the head.

His condition got worse and police say he’s in critical condition.

Harlin and her fiancé will be facing multiple charges.
