Man leaving barbershop in east Tulsa, robbed, shot in face by two suspects

TULSA, Okla. — A man is in the hospital after getting shot in the face while leaving a barbershop, according to Tulsa police.

Officers said it happened when two people leaving a barbershop on Friday night were approached by two males with a gun in the area of 8300 East 21st Street on Friday night.

The suspects tried to rob the two leaving the barbershop but the victim resisted, witness told police.

Police say the victim who resisted robbers was shot in the foot, and then the face.

The witness said the suspects then ran away and was able to drive the victim to a nearby QuikTrip to call police.

Officers said they arrived on scene and found shell casing and blood near the barbershop.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but initial hospital reports are favoring a recovery, police said.

Officers are still searching for the suspects.
