WEBBERS FALLS, Okla — Police shot and killed a man in Webbers Falls on Saturday that they had been looking to arrest on outstanding warrants.
The Webbers Falls Police Department responded to the west side of the Webbers Falls Lock and Dam to arrest 29-year-old Benjamin Ridley on outstanding warrants, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Webbers Falls police contacted the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office to alert them to the situation. Deputies were then sent out to help.
OSBI says Ridley was armed with a handgun when officers arrived.
Officers fired shot and killed Ridley and a handgun was recovered at the scene.
This incident is still under investigation by OSBI.
