• Man arrested after driving onto Tulsa airport runway

    TULSA, Okla. - Officials said that a man will face several criminal charges after drive through multiple fences and onto the tarmac at Tulsa International Airport.

    In addition to criminal charges, the man is also likely to face a civil damages suit from the airport for the four gates he destroyed Wednesday afternoon.

    Officials said the 68-year-old man was intoxicated and driving a late 90s Ford Explorer.

    Airport police arrested the man after he crashed through four gates and led police on a high-speed chase down the primary runway at TIA.

    An airport spokesperson said that no flights were impacted during the chase.

    The man’s name has not been released.
