TULSA, Okla. — The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 32 has become a victim of catalytic converter theft.
The DAV located in northeast Tulsa discovered Wednesday that their transportation van’s catalytic converter had been stolen.
The DAV says this isn’t the first time they have been vandalized. A month ago, they say someone cut through the razor wire and stole supplies.
The multiple stolen items are costing them hundreds of dollars as they pay for parts and repairs out of pocket.
The DAV fears that if they keep spending money on repairing what’s damaged, they’ll end up having to close their doors.
The DAV says they have put up a $2,600 security fence up added surveillance cameras.
