Local organization planning special gift for 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre survivor’s 106th birthday

TULSA, Okla. — In 1914, Mother Randle was born Lessie Benningfield and as a child survived the largest act of domestic terror on U.S. soil - the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

This week this incredible woman, one of only two known living Massacre survivors, turned 106 years old! This birthday is a testament to her dynamic life force and spirit of resilience in the face of a lifetime of emotional and physical distress that continues to this day as a result of this catastrophic childhood trauma.

An organization needs your help to honor Mother Randle on this momentous occasion! Their goal is for 106 people to donate $106 to a woman who has waited a century for justice and is celebrating a milestone of a birthday. If you’re able to give more or less than $106, please do!

All contributions will go to Mother Randle directly! Any funds donated to her birthday card through the link below will be presented to her on Saturday, November 21st.
