Local organization helping kids with having school at home during pandemic

Tulsa, Okla. — Tulsa public schools says they have enough Chrome books for every single student in their district, and its especially helping the most vulnerable kids right now.

During the pandemic, they’ve given out more than 21,000, that number is more than half the amount of students in Tulsa schools.

Family Promise of Tulsa County helps struggling families by giving them shelter, food and transportation, they say the school has been great with underprivileged kids during this time. Because they have the crome books and teachers call every week to check in.

Family promise of Tulsa is seeing an uptick in families needing assistance since the pandemic, they have housed 7 families, and there’s currently 6 people on their waiting list for shelter.

They say any donation can help them, help more families with resources, as they run off individual donors.
