Local man steps up to help those in need during winter storm

TULSA, Okla. — Hearing a homeless man died from the cold in Tulsa late last week, Zach Yarbrough couldn’t sit back. So he put a post on Facebook asking people for used coats and blankets.

He says he has collected hundreds of items and money. He matches every dollar and uses the funds to go buy more for those in need.

Yarbrough passed out gloves, clothes, hand warmers and food Thursday.

Those who received the goods were overjoyed and appreciative. Yarbrough told FOX23 that he wants to thank the community for the team effort.
