Leonardo DiCaprio said on stage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards Sunday night that he will be working with Robert De Niro on Martin Scorsese’s next film, “Killers of the Flower Moon.”
The film is set to start filming around Osage County, Oklahoma, this spring.
DiCaprio made the announcement when he was introducing De Niro, who was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The actors’ involvement in the film had been rumored for over a year, but this is the first time any of them have publicly confirmed their attachment to the film.
“Killers of the Flower Moon” is an adaptation of a book of the same name by author David Grann. Released in 2017, the book explores a series of murders of Osage people that took place in the early 1920s in Oklahoma.
