TULSA, Okla. — A local organization is helping students with academic scholarships.
Kids’ Chance of Oklahoma was established in 2016 to assist children of injured Oklahoma workers to provide post-secondary and career tech school scholarships to the children of Oklahoma workers who have been seriously or fatally injured in a workplace accident.
The children of workers often lose opportunities for secondary education.
Last year, four students received scholarships and this year five students have received scholarships of up to $5,000 per academic year.
The scholarship is for those ages 17-25.
