Jenks students need community help to raise $20,000 for Make-A-Wish

Jenks, Okla. — Some Jenks students are asking people to help them reach their donation goal for Make-a-Wish.

We spoke to the Jenks philanthropy chair, Jake Mulready, about what students at Jenks High School are doing to raise the money.

They are trying to raise $28,000 by February 22. It will go towards granting wishes of four kids in the Make-a-Wish kids from Jenks. Each kid will get $7,000.

They want to do something really special this year. Last year, they raised $3,000 for Tulsa Youth Services, but they’re aiming super high with $28,000 this year and hoping for the community’s support.

They’re having a Sadies Hawkins dance on the 22nd to help raise more money.
