Investigation underway after bomb threat at Owasso Kohl’s

OWASSO, Okla. — The Kohl’s in Owasso has reopened following a bomb threat on Sunday afternoon.

Police say the call came in just before 3:45. The person reported there was a bomb inside a backpack in one of the bathrooms.

Officers tell FOX23 the fire alarms went off inside the store not long after.

Kohl’s, as well as other nearby stores, were evacuated as police investigated.

According to officers, they checked all bathrooms and found nothing, so they did a secondary search of the entire store with managers. Nothing suspicious was found at that time either.

Police say they will look at surveillance cameras with security at the store to try and determine what happened.
