Oklahoma City inmate in custody after escaping from 12th floor

OKLAHOMA CITY — An inmate who escaped from the Oklahoma County Jail on Friday has been captured.

Police officials told KOCO 5 that Pablo Daniel Robledo was taken into custody near 3100 Southwest 37th Street without incident. They said Robledo was headed to his father’s house when he was captured.

Two inmates made their escape from an Oklahoma jail early Friday morning.

Jail authorities say that the two inmates broke a window on the 12th floor and climbed down with linens.

Oklahoma City police found and detained Jose Balentin Hernandez who they found injured walking around 7 a.m. before calling the Oklahoma County Jail who found Hernandez and his cellmate, Pablo Daniel Robledo were missing.

Hernandez and Robledo had allegedly escaped from the jail around 5:45 a.m. -- Hernandez breaking his leg in the process.

Police say Robledo was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail in June 2019 on several charges, including first-degree murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and misdemeanor domestic abuse.

Police and U.S. Marshals found Robledo later Friday afternoon in southwest Oklahoma City.
