How to keep unwanted pests out of your home this summer

TULSA, Okla. — Summer months are the busiest time for pest control experts.

Squirrels, opossums and raccoons are just a few animals that could make their way into a home, experts say.

Pest control specialists say there a couple of signs to look out for to help prevent an infestation; those include noises in the wall or roof, animal droppings, odor and ruffled trash cans.

CJ Anderson with 4Real Pest Control & Professional Animal Trapping said he averages about 20 to 30 calls a day during the summer compared to the winter season.

Anderson said to help keep from finding unwanted animals in your home, make sure trash is out of the house, seal all possible entry points and trim bushes and overhanding trees around the home.
