• Firefighters caught off guard as house fire reignites

    TULSA, Okla. - Quick facts:

    • Crews battled a house fire near Pine and Lewis.
    • The fire reignited with firefighters inside.
    • No one lived in the house.

    Firefighters are working on a fire that broke out at a vacant home near Pine and Lewis in north Tulsa.

    The fire reignited while firefighters were inside the home working on hotspots.

    Crews said it is a vacant home and no one was inside when it first broke out around 5 Sunday morning.

    Neighbors said they heard loud popping sounds right before giant flames covered the garage.

    Crews were inside working on hot spots when the blaze flared up again.

    No one was hurt.

    An investigator is working to determine the cause.

    PSO is also looking to see if any utilities are still connected at the house.

    Five engines helped extinguish the fires.
