Man turns himself in, accused of killing brother in midtown Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — A fight between two brothers in midtown Tulsa leads to one being shot, police said.

The call reportedly came to officers around 8:10 p.m. of a shooting near east 27th place and south Cincinnati avenue.

After arriving on the scene they said they learned the victim, 29-year-old Sean Gainey, was shot by his brother 32-year-old Taylor Gainey.

Tulsa police say the two were fighting and that Sean allegedly was hitting Taylor with a stick.

Sean Gainey was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police say Taylor Gainey had been on the run and a warrant was issued for his arrest. According to documents Taylor Gainey is now charged with first-degree manslaughter.

Police say Taylor Gainer turned himself in Tuesday morning.
