Emergency maintenance crews on scene repairing bridge at Peoria exit on I-44 in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) says emergency crews are on scene repairing a bridge after parts of it crumbled Monday afternoon.

ODOT says it happened when a hole developed in the bridge on I-44 at the Peoria exit in Tulsa. ODOT says pieces of the bridge deck then began to crumble and fall below.

ODOT says they cannot confirm if any vehicles were hit.

The westbound lanes have been reduced to one lane.
