Pawnee deputies identify two in murder-suicide, hostage situation

PAWNEE COUNTY, Okla. (KOKI) — The Pawnee County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) says a hostage situation Thursday night ended in a murder-suicide.

Deputies now confirm Kendra Dvorak as the victim and Jim Two-Feathers as the suspect who later killed himself. Both are from the Pawnee area.

PCSD say the call originally came in around 6 p.m. involving a domestic situation but they did not have an address. They say after pinging the phone call off nearby towers, they were able to respond to the area of Highway OK-18 and East 5000 Road, south of Pawnee at 7:30 p.m.

After showing up, deputies say they learned a woman’s ex-boyfriend had showed up to the home with a gun and held it to her head.

Police say no children were inside. They originally reported that two could have possibly been at the home.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Tactical Team was on scene assisting.

The murder-suicide was confirmed just after 10:30 p.m.
