BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Emergency crews in Bartlesville have narrowed Highway 75 to one lane each direction after a truck with cattle overturned on the highway.
Officials told FOX23 there were about 79 cows on the truck, some have gotten loose, others are being contained and about a dozen are expected to die from injuries in the crash.
Hazmat and Sooner Emergency Services are also on scene to contain oil leaking from the crash into the storm water drainage that flows into a nearby pond, they’re trying to prevent it from getting into a small creek.
Officials said 100 to 200 gallons of fuel also leaked from the truck. Crews are asking people to avoid the area if possible.
