CLAREMORE, Okla. — Claremore Public Schools is welcoming students back for in person learning Thursday.

Superintendent Bryan Frazier said things will look different as they focus on decreasing the risk of students and staff members getting COVID-19.

The school district is requiring everyone to wear a mask during the day and provided teachers two masks each, along with a face shield.

They will also be providing each student on campus with a mask as well.

They’ve added hand sanitizer stations throughout their buildings, along with gallon jugs of sanitizer in each classroom.

Frazier said there’s also extra protocols for students riding the bus, including loading from the back to the front and wearing masks.

"The busses are probably the highest risk activity that we do," Frazier said.

Not all students will be on campus today. The school district has three options, including virtual learning.
