Checotah Walmart closing for deep cleaning

CHECOTAH, Okla. — A Walmart Supercenter in Checotah, Oklahoma is closing for a deep cleaning due to concerns of COVID-19, reported Walmart Spokesperson Casey Staheli.

Staheli says the Walmart located at 131 Paul Carr Drive closed at 2 p.m. Sunday to allow third party crews to clean and sanitize the building.

The Checotah Walmart will reportedly remain closed through Monday, Jan. 11, and reopen on Tuesday at 7 a.m.

Everything we’re doing is for the well-being of our associates and customers, and in consideration of guidance by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and health experts. When the store reopens Tuesday, we will continue conducting associate health screens and temperature checks, and all associates will be provided with facemasks and gloves.
