On Sunday, November 15, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Oklahoma Chapter will host an interfaith prayer vigil for those affected by the attacks in Paris and Beirut.
Several of Oklahoma City's faith community leaders will be present to offer their thoughts and prayers for the victims, families, and community afflicted by this tragedy.
Speakers include the Rev. Dr. William Tabbernee, Oklahoma Conference of Churches; Rabbi Vered Harris, Temple B'nai Israel; Imam Imad Enchassi, Islamic Society of Greater OKC; Dr. Carl Rubenstein, Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma, and more.
"In difficult times such as this, we find it crucial to come together as communities of faith and send our thoughts and prayers to our brothers and sisters in humanity," said Adam Soltani, CAIR-OK Executive Director. "It is our hope that by coming together we can work together towards peace and not allow extremist groups to divide us."
CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization.
