BROKEN AROOW, Okla. — Broken Arrow police officers are getting free LASER active shooting training.
Fifteen officers will get the free training in partnership with multiple other agencies and LSU/NCBRT through FEMA.
The goal is to get basic patrol officers active shooter training that would normally cost thousands of dollars so they can train other officers and pass the knowledge to other departments.
It’s the first time LSU/NCBRT has had a regional training since March of 2020 and Broken Arrow police says they were chosen because of their strong community relationships with other departments.
The training took place at a school in Broken Arrow.
