BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — The Pride of Broken Arrow band performed a show for residents at the Village Health Care Center who haven’t had many chances to see family in person due to COVID--19.

Village Health Care Center Administrator Leslie Vanable says she reached out to the Broken Arrow Band Director, Darrin Davis, a while back asking for a few students to come and play for the residents. She says he insisted they bring the whole band.

The BA Pride performed a 30 minute show for the residents--similar to what they’d play in a competition. The band has been non competitive this year due to COVID--19.

Residents were able to sit out on the front lawn or open their windows from their rooms to watch the performance.

Vanable says this was something the residents looked forward to considering they haven’t been able to get out much, or see their families, due to the pandemic.
