    BRISTOW, Okla. - Quick Facts:

Bristow police are looking into tips they’ve received after a man posing as a Loomis guard got $75,000 from a Walmart. They have also requested security video from the Turnpike Authority.

Police do not think this man is local to the Bristow area, but are not ruling that out. They also told FOX23 they don’t believe he was armed at the time of the robbery.

The man went to the store Saturday, implied he was a Loomis officer and left with the money that was supposed to be a deposit. Walmart officials told FOX23 there are policies and procedures in place for that situation, but did not say if they were followed or not in this situation.

Security cameras did not capture the car's tag number, but they believe the suspect was driving a black Chevy sedan.

Police have not ruled out the possibility of the man having connections to either Walmart or Loomis. At the very least, police believe the suspect had done research.

The FBI is aware of the case, but are not involved in the investigation at this time. They were notified because of the large amount stolen.

A Walmart spokesman said that the stores do have protocol for when a guard picks up their deposit, but they did not say if the protocol was followed Saturday.

Bristow Police Chief Wayne Williams believed the man was wearing a weighted running vest, which looks similar to a bulletproof vest.

Police are looking to identify a man they say may be involved in the case.

Though it is rare, crimes like this do happen.

A similar type of heist happened in March at a check-cashing business in Georgia.
