VIDEO: Book stores are opening in Tulsa despite the pandemic

While many businesses have closed their doors because of the pandemic, two independent bookstores have opened in Tulsa this year.

Fulton Street Books is in North Tulsa while Eleanor’s Bookshop is in Midtown.

The owners of Eleanor’s Bookshop say that they were nervous to open in July, in the middle of the pandemic, but they went for it anyway.

They say they believe more people may be supporting independent book shops now because people are home reading more during the pandemic.

Eleanor’s Bookshop focuses on children and young adult books and allows phone orders. They will deliver or offer curbside pickup as well.

For Cyber Monday, they’re offering 20 percent off all gift cards. You can find more information here. (https://www.eleanorsbookshop.com/)
