TULSA, Okla. — The Bair Foundation is working to recruit more foster families in Tulsa.
The organization focuses on older children, sets of siblings, and teenagers that can be more difficult to place in a foster home.
Allison Korvick is the Director of Social Services at the Bair Foundation. She says there are more than 7,500 foster kids across the state and they are working to find families to fill the critical need.
The foster process is extensive with hours of training, background checks, and home visits. But foster families can provide an essential need to many children across Oklahoma.
The Bair Foundation has an online orientation next Wednesday, July 7th at 6:30 p.m. You can sign up for the session and learn more about the process at bair.org.
