Arrest made in Bartlesville man’s death in Arizona

PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — Authorities announced Wednesday an arrest in the death of Bartlesville man in Arizona.

Daylan Jacob Thornton, 21, was arrested in Pima County, Arizona on first-degree murder and fraud charges, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said.

Brashear left Oklahoma to Arizona on Dec. 7, 2019 and was reported missing soon after.

The remains of Steven Mark Brashear, 66, of Bartlesville were discovered in Pima Canyon on Dec. 31, 2019, the sheriff’s office said.

Thorton remains in the Pima County Detention Center on $1 million bond, according to jail records.
