Kristin Chenoweth’s Broadway Bootcamp is back for another encore in Broken Arrow

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Kristin Chenoweth’s Broadway Bootcamp is back and in person for its 2022 campaign.

This year is the seventh for the Broken Arrow native’s camp. Last year the camp went virtual because of the pandemic.

Chenoweth will be back in person this year with a team of Broadway professionals at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center for two separate week-long sessions. Emmy Award-winning director Kenny Ortega will be the director of the camp this year.

“I’m so excited to announce that this year we will be back in person at Kristin Chenoweth Broadway Boot Camp,” said Chenoweth. “Last year, we had such a wonderful success with the virtual aspect. This year, we will be back in person, and I just can’t wait to meet everyone who is going to be accepted to our camp.”

The camp aims to collaborate with students, and offer insight into the world of performing arts for aspiring entertainers.

“My most important mission in this life is to inspire — always inspire. And I can promise you that is what we are going to do once again at camp. We are going to inspire ourselves, inspire each other, and inspire others to be better,” said Chenoweth.

The first session is scheduled for July 17 through July 23, and the second session is scheduled for July 24 through July 30.

To be selected for the camp, students who are currently in 8th through 12th grade may apply with an audition video, headshot and resume. Students selected for the camp will be assigned to one of the two sessions.
