Deputies investigate cause of Keystone area fire

A grass fire near Sand Springs threatened homes Sunday.

Crews from the Keystone Fire Department started fighting the fire around 1 Sunday afternoon.

The fire is near several homes near Wildwood Court in Sand Springs.

A neighbor told FOX23 the fire started after someone was shooting in the area.

The fire quickly burned through 50-70 acres and put at least 6 homes at risk.

Creek County deputies are investigating who may have started the fire.

"If I get them and get a postive ID on them, they're going to court and hopefully going to jail," said Captain George Blackburn.
