JENKS, Okla. — The Jenks High School student council helped raise $40,000 for Make-A-Wish Oklahoma, the school district announced on Facebook this week.
The amount was revealed during a recent school assembly.
Every year, a week is dedicated to raising money for charity or organizations.
The student council has raised money for children facing life-threatening diseases, community centers and organizations benefiting teens facing homelessness, according to the school’s website.
