ENID, Okla. — In the little town of Enid, Okla., the 2022 World’s Tallest Christmas Tree arrived on Nov. 14.
Flurries began to fall just as the tree was lifted into place.
“It truly is like something out of a Hallmark movie that just adds to the magic of Christmas and making memories!” exclaimed Nicole Winfield, media contact for The One.
A 140-foot tree from California’s Shasta-Trinity National Forest has been chosen this year and was transported 2,000 miles to Okla. where it will be decked out with 20,000 multi-colored lights and 10,000 Christmas ornaments.
This is the second year The One has claimed the title of The World’s Tallest Christmas Tree.
“Last year’s opening night was beyond anything we expected, bringing more than 30,000 people to downtown Enid. This year, we anticipate even more people to come and enjoy a truly magical evening that includes seeing the world’s tallest Christmas tree light up for the first time this holiday season,” said Kyle Williams, founder of The One and president of Jiffy Trip.
On Nov. 25, The One will officially be lighting the World’s Tallest Christmas Tree in downtown Enid for Opening Night. Festive music will begin at 7:10 p.m. A welcome ceremony will start at 7:30 p.m. leading up to the illumination of the Tallest Christmas Tree at 8 p.m.
Ann Price an Enid resident, school teacher and the retired director of Hope Outreach Parenting Ministry, has been chosen as grand lighting marshal for The One’s 2022 Opening Night.
“We are incredibly excited this year, especially about Opening Night,” said Winfield.
“It’s truly a one-of-a-kind experience that has touched so many people from across the nation, and we are looking forward to another memorable evening, said Williams.
