Police are investigating after someone found a body at Mohawk Park in north Tulsa.

Homicide investigators confirmed that the body was found shot near the zoo there.

    This marks Tulsa's 59th homicide of 2016.

The body was described as a Hispanic male in his thirties with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said he had been dead for a while.

Officers said some walkers found the man just off the road.

They are looking for further evidence.

Investigators said that the victim had no ID on him, so that will make his identification that much harder.

They said the man was shot inside the park some time around 4:15 p.m., when witnesses at the park said they heard at least 12 shots fired.
