Home damaged in early morning fire in east Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — A home was damaged in an early morning fire in east Tulsa.

Tulsa firefighters responded to the fire near 11th and Sheridan around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to the Tulsa Fire Department, the person who called 911 said there was fire coming from the front of the house and garage.

The first fire crew on scene found heavy fire coming from the front of the house.

Five adults and two kids were able to safely escape. Three dogs and a cat were also able to make it out safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
