• Group raises money to replace large American flag on Riverside Drive

    TULSA, Okla. - Quick Facts:

    • A large American flag flying over 61st and Riverside in south Tulsa needs replacing after heat caused the colors to fade.

    • River Parks Authority says they could retire the flag but could not afford to replace it due to its focus on flooding repairs.
    • A group started a fundraiser on Facebook to replace the $800 flag that exceeded expectations.
    • They can now buy more than one flag and they are able to store extras as backups.
