- Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit star as Sandy and Danny
It will not be a summer night, but a popular musical should heat up FOX23 on Jan. 31.
From 7 to 10 p.m. that Sunday, Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit take on the roles of Sandy and Danny in a live TV adaptation of Grease.
GREASE: LIVE brings to the stage and screen the show’s most memorable moments, great music and a love story for a new generation.
For those unfamiliar with the classic: imagine a summer romance ended by the beginning of senior year. Danny and Sandy fondly look back on their summer nights.
But it is not quite the end when Sandy’s family moves and she transfers to Danny’s high school.
Finding themselves pulled in different directions by their friends, the couple tries to stay hopelessly devoted as they navigate their final year at Rydell High School.
The adaptation stars Vanessa Hudgens from “Spring Breakers” as iconic bad girl Rizzo, Keke Palmer from FOX23 favorite “Scream Queens” as Marty Maraschino and singer Carly Rae Jepsen as the beauty school dropout Frenchy.
Speed like greased lighting to FOX23 on Jan. 31 to catch the one-night-only presentation starting at 7 p.m.
