    MOUNDS, Okla. - A former Mounds teacher and basketball coach is facing charges of second-degree rape and sexual battery.

    Police said Brett Brooksher was arrested after officers were alerted to a relationship between him and a student.

    Chief Antonio Porter said investigators contact the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation when they realized how serious the case was.

    The superintendent of Mounds Public Schools confirmed with FOX23 that Brooksher is no longer employed at the school.

    FOX23 learned Brooksher is out of jail on a $50,000 bond.
