TULSA, Okla. — U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo has been named the first artist-in-residence for the Bob Dylan Center, which is expected to open to the public May 10 in downtown Tulsa.

Harjo, a Tulsa native and citizen of the Muscogee Nation, says it will be a six-year position. She will be present educational programs, live performances and curate special exhibitions at the center during that time.
