TULSA, Okla. — Plans are moving forward for the Evans-Fintube property which holds the historic former Iron Works building.
The City of Tulsa chose Be Good Development Partners and J.E Dunn has lead developers on the project.
Phase one includes saving the Iron Works building. It’ll be filled with co-working space, retail, dining, a brewery, shorter stay housing and more.
Phase two includes a 42-story tall skyscraper. It will be the first skyscraper built in more than 30 years since the BOK Tower was built. That will also have retail space, restaurants and rooftop dining.
Franchell Abdalla with Be Good Development Properties says we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us here off Greenwood in North Tulsa.
“Building on the grounds of the Race Massacre more than 100 years ago and the opportunity that exists for black Tulsans, we’re excited about that,” she said.
In a statement from Mayor G.T Bynum it says “Years from now, Tulsans are going to look back at the community-led process that went into creating a vision for this site and realize this created a new norm for developers across our city.”
Abdalla says ground will break in 2023.
