• Community food bank to provide free meals to Tulsa children during spring break

    TULSA, Okla. - The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is deploying its Mobile Eatery trucks this week to feed children off school for spring break.

    The two trucks will be out March 18-22 and will stop at a variety of locations:

    Mobile Eatery

    • Meadows Apts - 2820 S 116th E. Ave. - 11:00-11:30 a.m.
    • Sierra Pointe Apts - 1433 S 107th E. Ave. - 12:00-12:30 p.m.
    • Apache Manor Apts - 2402 N Marion Dr. - 1:00-1:30 p.m.

    Mobile Eatery Too

    • Riverview Apts. - 1629 Riverside Dr - 11:00-11:30 a.m.
    • Bradford Apts. - 550 E 32nd St - 12:00-12:30 p.m.
    • Edenwood Apts. - 2171 N Hartford Ave - 1:00-1:30 p.m.

    The program is intended to help struggling families with students who normally eat free or reduced-price meals at school.

    Meals will be available for free for all children who are present during meal service times.

    Officials with the food bank will also be providing meals to children at Chamberlain Park each day from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
