CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Claremore Police Department is trying a new community policing program in Claremore neighborhoods.

Officers are hanging signs on residents' doors near crime scenes in order to collect information that could be used to solve the crimes.

The signs are for the officer to fill out with notes about the crime with a time and location so a resident can choose to provide any information they might have about the case to police.

Residents can provide information in the form of video, eyewitness testimony or general information.

Claremore police said the sign allows residents to provide that feedback as well as be aware of crimes happening in their area so they can be more alert.

Anyone with any crime tips can contact the Claremore Police Department at (918) 283-TALK.
